OUR STAFF

|  OUR CARERS CARE |

At Rivendell we truly believe in providing a quality service, for our residents’ benefit and our team’s sense of pride.

Alastair invested an inheritance from his Grandparents into Rivendell and he knows that they would be proud of what he has created at the care home.

To ensure high quality care, we employ more care staff than that required by the Care Inspectorate. The staff to resident ratio means we can offer our residents more time, care and attention.

We also have exemplary support staff, in Physio, Strength and Balance, Health and Wellbeing, providing the extra care that makes a difference to the quality of life at Rivendell.

Our friendly Housekeeping and Laundry staff are an important and valued part of the team, keeping Rivendell clean and tidy at all times.

We ensure all our staff receive regular training and development. Our manager, Gina, reviews and audits their progress as part of our Quality Assurance processes.

|  WE CARE FOR OUR CARERS |

The way we approach staffing at Rivendell is a reflection of our underpinning ethos; that of quality care and support.

Our staff shifts are between 6 to 8 hours.  Shorter shift patterns allow staff to remain fresh and focused on our resident’s needs. Where staff wish to work increased hours they can include one 12-hour shift in a week. The team’s work-life balance is important to us.

We manage extra staff at key points of the day, ensuring rotas are effective in delivering quality care when and where it is needed; this means residents have the attention they need and staff are not stressed by the challenges of the day.

We want our staff to feel a sense of pride in the work they do, and to achieve this Rivendell offers a supportive and high quality working environment.
